Students work alone or with a team from their class to write a script that includes six required sounds. The script is recorded as an audio file using free software and a microphone. Sound files are placed on a wiki for all to hear. At the end of the project partner classes will vote on the best. This is a great project to team the classroom teacher with the school technology integration specialist. You will receive a guest username and password for editing OR use your own free Wikispaces id.
The first RCAN 6 Sounds project was in the 2015-2016 school year. Six stories were voted on as "fan favorites". Seven schools participated with four schools submitting projects. In the first year, the projects were all led by technology integration specialists.
It is a moderately difficul project to begin and complete with your students and has a tight timeline. The school technology integration specialist can work as a team to make it work for you!
