RCAN Monster Project
The BasicsClasses are partnered to draw, describe, and re-draw monster pictures. This project engages students through drawing, carefully writing using adjectives, and following directions carefully to re-draw the monster WITHOUT the benefit of seeing the original. The closing activity asks students to analyze what they forgot to describe, what their partner forgot to draw, and what their partner drew that was not described. The illustrations can be drawn using computer software or paper and drawing tools like colored pencils, markers, and crayons. Photos are taken of physical drawings and added to the wiki. Writing is done online. School technology integration specialists can assist you, as needed.
